After a wind-whipped rainy day, Pope Benedict asks for peace in Iraq, Tibet, and the Holy Land.
Speaking over heavy rain in the St. Peter’s Square, the Pope stated after Mass, “These scourges of humanity, open and festering in every corner of the planet, although they are often ignored and sometimes deliberately concealed, wounds that torture these souls.” Referring to the on-slaught of brutality against civilians in such regions as Tibet, the Pope also asked for Islamic extremist to settle in peace.
While most celebrate with family and Easter egg hunts this year, millions will suffer today from pure hatred of mankind by tryany. We ask for his blessings, and on this day we as for peace to all of man-kind.
