Off The Beaten Path

One seems to stray from politics occasionally, and I can testify to that. A weekend of romance; a chance for one enlighten a relationship after a week day Valentines. Sure; the day was created by Hallmark, but, in this fast paced and well-defined computer age I am glad to be apart of Valentines.

The path of this blog is to bring attention to how love is defined in our computer age.

Is love a chat with a random stranger overseas that one has known only via there ISP provider? Is love watching a man or woman via satellite proclaiming there destiny of togetherness?

I ask because what has happened to people communicating one-on-one; face to face? I happen to know some who would rather “let loose” on the computer than meet and greet. Is this normal?

Yes; shyness can be overcome by interaction through an ISP, but how about trying speed dating or coffee houses where the atmosphere is neutral. One day, our lives will be so consumed by the computer that the only interaction will be via satellite to say “goodnight” to a loved one!

I keep an open mind about this, yet I am concerned for our youth and the meanings of what true love means.
